The historical and artistic photo exhibition will tell about the glorious and unknown to the general public pages of the establishment of Russian-Japanese diplomatic relations. The focus of the exhibition will be the figure of the Russian admiral V. E. Putiatin and the people around him, as well as the history and modern life of the places with which he was closely connected.
The unique photo project, created by orientalist Tatyana Naumova and photographer Vladimir Asmirko, was conceived as an opportunity to acquaint Russian lovers of Japan not only with the amazing facts of the history of the mission of the Russian admiral and attitude towards him in Japan, but also with the charm of everyday life of the picturesque cities of the Izu Peninsula and their colorful inhabitants.
During the exhibition, a series of lectures and master classes will be held by well-known experts in the field of Japanese history and culture.
